The E.U Ups The Prices For Car Repairs
Car repair prices are set to rise in the coming months because of EU dropping the rules which require manufacturers to share there repair data source code with independent mechanics.

At the moment you can take your vehicle to your local mechanic and if he or she has the correct data then they can read the fault codes on your car and locate the problem. However from next year they may not have anywhere to buy that data from.

This is because people like Ford and Toyota will no longer be forced to sell it to them.

What this means is that instead of being charged £20 by your local mechanic to connect the laptop up to your car and find the problem, you will now have to pay Ford and Toyota's prices and use their dealership. The cheapest price we have found for a dealer to connect their diagnostic tool to a car is £65+ Vat.

So if you think diagnosing a car fault is expensive now, stand by, here come the EU to make it all a lot worse. One can only hope UKIP do well on June the 4th and put an end to the EU interference.
